Creating an RT ticket from the web interface

  1. Login to RT.
  2. In the drop-down menu at the top, select EdProg, and click on New Ticket.
  3. Put in a subject and message, and click on Create Ticket.

Creating an RT ticket via email

  1. Send an email to edprog-rt@cs.earlham.edu with a subject and message body for the ticket. Example:
    1. Subject: PXE booting is not working
    2. Body: Client nodes fail to PXE boot with this error message: ...
  2. You should receive a confirmation email with a ticket number.
  3. When corresponding with an RT ticket via email, keep the subject intact to have it be routed to the right ticket.
