K-12 Day
On Tuesday, November 12, there will be sessions that will give a voice to the needs of K-12 teachers in the US as we hear from different groups in Washington about the deficit in the STEM and HPC areas. Lots of people have said what K-12 needs to do. This is a chance for K-12 to have their say, share their concerns and also be made aware of the national conversations.
You would not want to miss the chance to be an interactive part of an initiative that will level the playing field by inserting the reality fo the classroom into a conversation which will be turned into a white paper to share with national leaders. You can have your say.
Then, in the second part of the day, we have a guided tour of the show floor. This guided tour will help us to share the resources that wil be valuable to you, and that may enhance the resources you will have to share and the opportunities that await you .
The national conversation started with the Convocation on the Gathering Storm. The conclusion of this group was that K-12 needed help to create better learning opportunities for careers in science, math, technology and engineering.
Student Program
The Student Program will run Saturday through Thursday. Undergraduate and graduate students will learn about career opportunities, internships, interviewing techniques, and information about high performance computing.
